Children Are Safe

Vision Statement - Niagara's children feel safe, have a sense of belonging and demonstrate empathy.


The Children are Safe Committee is composed of various organizations, agencies, programs and services with an interest or mandate to ensure that children are safe and therefore able to develop optimally.


Using the community determined priority indicators:

  • Bullying
  • Child Abuse

and secondary indicators:

  • Neighbourhood Safety
  • Neighbourhood Cohesion



The Committee will focus their efforts to devise a workplan and work as a collective on the activities/tasks outlined in the workplan to support and improve child safety.
